Marking 60 historic years
Since 1956, students and faculty at the University of Florida College of Medicine have contributed to its rich history, their stories blending and building to create an enduring atmosphere of world-class education and scientific discovery.
It’s incredible that in only 60 years, the college has produced some of the world’s most renowned educators, researchers, scientists and thought-leaders in modern medicine. This evolving legacy continues ever strong today as the college seeks to educate the medical leaders and pioneers of tomorrow.
To commemorate 60 years of storied success, the UF College of Medicine is pleased to present:
The University of Florida College of Medicine: A Legacy of Innovation and Collaboration since the 1950s.
Drawing on Health Science Center archives, scientific and lay publications, college documents and a series of oral histories from key College of Medicine faculty and personnel, this 60th anniversary book chronicles the college’s journey of innovation and collaboration.
“We are confident you will enjoy reading about the creation and evolution of our ever advancing UF College of Medicine, and that you will be filled with the same immense pride we each share in our college and its great legacy of innovation and collaboration.”
