The Legacy Challenge
The UF College of Medicine is recruiting you and other alumni and friends to join our team. As medical school expenses in this country continue to rise at a rapid pace, your commitment to our students will leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Your gift supporting scholarships helps the best students obtain the world-class education they need and deserve.
Their Future, Your Legacy
From the first time Jessica Williams was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she had an answer ready. Combining her loves of science and interpersonal communication, medicine was always her goal.
Now, as a UF medical student, she’s building her medical knowledge base while pursuing her passion for increasing awareness and representation for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community in part because of support from the Dean’s Preeminence Scholarship.
When Akeem Bartley was an 11-year-old living in rural Jamaica, he made a promise to himself: He would pursue a career in medicine, a path that would allow him to provide care to those in need.
Now a UF medical student and a recipient of the Marie C. Wolff Scholarship, he’s focused on advocating for his future patients and encouraging the next generation of minority students to achieve their goals of becoming health care professionals.
For medical student Sayoni Saha, her drive to seek answers led her down the path toward a career as a physician.
From being invited to the White House and having her research published in the American Journal of Medical Genetics to being awarded a National Institutes of Health fellowship, the Cammie Green Ross Scholarship recipient is on a mission to tackle questions that science and medicine have yet to answer.
Are you in?
Create a new named scholarship with a gift of $100,000 or more, one of the most meaningful and enduring ways to support the UF College of Medicine. Endowed scholarships can be either need- or merit-based and are critical to the College of Medicine because they generate predictable (4 percent annually), growing streams of income in perpetuity.
Give to the Future Gator Doc Scholarship Fund
A minimum cash gift of $20,000, payable over four years, helps to offset medical education debt and bring the best and brightest students through our doors.
Plan for your future & help students
Include the College of Medicine in your estate plans or consider a planned gift. We can work with you, your family, and your advisers to help you create a plan that meets both your financial and charitable goals.
